( be slow road back, but hey I'm still kicking)ĪDDITIONAL TI For those of you that don't want to go the whole hog and create multiple mini-MSTS installations, there is an intermediate method that means that you don't need to delete the 6 default routes, but can still speed up loading aand running MSTS. are now back, many thanks to Allan and those who had input into it. ( was blown away with it) My old days collecting on the red hens, was the start of great memories in S.A.R. and this route is a fantastic bit of work. I have just installed the Adelaide route in MSTS to run on its own to keep it wholly S.A.R. I might add here, these cut-down MSTS's are definitely not for the novice MSTS user.
Once route is installed, we can then delete the original 6 default routes. AS Mike said is because of that InstallMe.bat file needs all the 6 default routes for copying files over into the new route.
#Msts route riter install
To go further about even WHY those 6 original default routes is mentioned at all, is for fellows like myself ( and few odd others) who have more than one MSTS ( cut down) installed ( I have 10) where we delete all 6 of the default routes to keep MSTS small and mean with the just one particular route operating.įor us to install a NEW route using a cut down MSTS, we must first copy back the original 6 default routes, before installing the new route. This allows the author to keep the size of download. When you download a route, you run the installme.bat file and it copies all of these files from your existing routes into the new route. This program removes all of the shapes and textures from the route the author is packaging which already exist in the 6 original routes, and adds a file InstallMe.bat to the package listing all of these files. Just to explain why, most new routes you download are packaged using the program Route_Riter.
